Summary

Most staff will have explored t ache MPTA training across two INSET days and will be confident in the theory behind this. We want to use the session to help staff share and affirm standards of practice already in place. New staff are also very welcome to join! Matthew will try and cover the core elements from the original two sessions but beyond this, there will be chance for them to work and learn from their peers.

Throughout the session, there will be structured 'pause-points' where we will ask TAs to discuss a topic and share ideas. Your participation is key here.

Matthew will then set at least one extended activity in the second half of the session.

Outcomes

Research indicates that quality feedback on learning and the development of metacognition skills can boost pupil attainment. Our Improving pupil independence course provides TAs with the skills to scaffold learning and help pupils become confident, independent learner.
