Our Spanish Advanced Conversation class focussing on maintaining and developing advanced speaking skills. This is a post A Level course.

Classes run every Tuesday Evening from 7.15pm to 9.00pm from 6th October 2020 for 10 weeks (excluding October half term)

Summary

At King Edward VII School, social distancing protocols will be in place, according to Government guidelines. These will include hand sanitisation on arrival, use of a one way system to go directly to your classroom and once there sitting at individual desks. Refreshments will not be available.

This course covers themes of topical interest, mutually negotiated between tutor and course participants. The course is entirely taught in the target language. The course content will be tailored to learners’ needs and interests and is likely to cover topical issues as they arise, such as current affairs or news items. The focus is on maintaining advanced conversational skills with some reading/listening material used as a basis for oral practice and some written work undertaken for homework.

This course will take place over 10 weeks and is Term 1 of a 3 Term Course (terms 2 and 3 will be offered later in the academic year). This means that the full Spanish Advanced Conversation course takes place over 30 weeks in total.

Payment Once you have completed your application form to join the course, you will be contacted by a member of the Evening Class Team to make your payment via WorldPay with your debit or credit card. We will hold your place up to 7 days to allow you to make your payment.

Concessionary rates are available only to those who are full time students and those we are in receipt of unemployment benefits. Evidence of your status will be requested by a member of the Evening Class Team, before payment is taken.

The deadline for all payments and therefore bookings will be Friday 25th September 2020 (unless the class is already fully booked at this point).

Our courses are popular and often oversubscribed so we advise you to book your place as soon as possible.

Outcomes

During this course you will consolidate your knowledge and fluency in the Spanish language. You will be able to discuss and debate topics, offer your opinions in detail and be more confident in the use of more advanced grammatical structures and complex structures.
