Lennon Training

Training the industry since 1991

Lennon Training is a family owned business established in 1991 to service the training requirements of the mining industry. We have Training Centres located in Emerald, Moranbah and Brisbane.

Being a Registered Training Organisation (#1674) with the Australian Government requires compliance also in the Vocational Education (VET) sector and this has been upheld since first acquiring the licence in 1993.

Listed below are programs that are scheduled across our three venues. Reserving a place requires your unique email address and typical contact details. Payment details are still arranged directly with Lennon's - fees are invoiced/deducted on the first day of the course. Your reservation will still be confirmed by our Admin team once they have received your details and any pre-requisite documents.

Lennon Training offer the following qualifications which are a prerequisite of the Board of Examiners (current as of November 2023) to be able to apply to the Board to sit the respective examination for the Statutory position:

  • Certificate IV in Underground Coal Operations;
  • Diploma of Underground Coal Mining Management;
  • Certificate IV in Surface Coal Mining (Open Cut Examiner)
