Summary

Refresher period Under Queensland mining legislation (Reg s84) each coalmine worker holding a certificate of competency must undertake refresher training at least once every five years. This particular unit may require more frequent refresher assessments.

Note we will require a copy of your previous Statement of Attainment for RIIWHS204.

The morning session is structured to refresh industry workers who already hold RIIWHS204 (or equivalent). This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to work safely at heights in the resources and infrastructure industries. It applies to those working in operational roles. They generally work under supervision to undertake a prescribed range of functions involving known routines and procedures and take responsibility for the quality of work outcomes. Licensing, legislative and certification requirements that apply to this unit can vary between states, territories and industry sectors. Users must check requirements with relevant body before applying the unit (source: competency unit details listed on training.gov.au)

The afternoon session is structured toward industry workers who already hold a current Statement of Attainment for RIIWHS204E Work safely at heights. Participants will be above the ground (no more than 11m) in the machine during this course - reconsider enrolling if you have any hesitations about handling this environment. This unit applies to those working in operational roles. The work required in this unit relates to the National Standard for High Risk Work but this unit does not provide the licence. Licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements that may apply to this unit can vary between states, territories and industry sectors, and must be sourced prior to applying this unit. This unit alone does not provide sufficient skill to independently load and unload equipment. To perform this activity safely, personnel must either complete or be assisted by someone who has completed RIIHAN308F Load and Unload Plant or equivalent (source: unit competency details on training.gov.au)

Certification is emailed 2-3 working days after payment and USI details are finalised.
