This Basic HMI Modbus VSD Control Training workshop provides a hands-on introduction to controlling Mitsubishi FR-E800 variable speed drives via Modbus from iQ-F/FX5 PLCs and HMI screens. Delivered live online over a single three-hour session, participants will go from selecting hardware to commissioning a running drive.
Through guided demonstrations and practical exercises, you’ll select the right iQ-F/FX5 PLC and FR-E800 options, configure PLC projects in GX Works3, establish Modbus communications for start/stop, speed, status, and alarms, and map drive registers to HMI screens. You’ll also complete the FX5 TSN module setup, commission the drive, test operations, and troubleshoot common faults efficiently.
