Developed by SIMTARS (RTO 45647) on behalf of RSHQ, the primary objective of this course is to learn from disasters, rather than learning about disasters. The course focusses on learning from failure patterns and trends in past disasters.

Learning From Disasters - developed by SIMTARS (RTO 45647) on behalf of RSHQ It is delivered in two stages. Stage 1 is the eLearning on-line component (please enrol with SIMTARS) Stage 2 is a practical 1-day workshop delivered by an RSHQ-approved provider. Note that Stage 1 must be completed to enter Stage 2.

The primary objective of this course is to learn from disasters, rather than learning about disasters. The course focusses on learning from failure patterns and trends in past disasters. It seeks to revolutionise the industry's approach to safety, risk, and control by prompting participants to re-evaluate their existing assumptions and beliefs. The course incorporates learnings from the 2019 Brady Review.
